This year commemorates the Anzac Centenary - 100 years since our country's first involvement in the First World War. This is a significant milestone to all Australians as the First World War helped define us as people and as a nation.
There are Anzac Day services and commemorations happening around the nation, including Brisbane. Why not get involved and pay respects to not only the original Anzacs who served at Gallipoli and on the Western Front, but all Australian service men and women.
Here are a few of the Anzac Day Centenary activities occurring in Brisbane -
Brisbane Dawn Servce: 25th April, 2015. Commences at 04:28am sharp at ANZAC Square, located between Ann and Adelaide Streets, Brisbane - walking distance from Oxygen Apartments.
Brisbane ANZAC Day Parade: 25th April, 2015. Parade starts at 9:30am.
Camp Gallipoli: 24th to 25th April, 2015. If you are coming from out of town to attend this overnight camping event at the Brisbane Showgrounds why not book a night or two either side of the event at Oxygen Apartments. We're just 3 minutes drive away!
