The Epicurious Garden at Southbank allows one to get back in touch with food growing in the ground, for many people and children the majority of our fruits and vegetables come from the supermarket or if you’re lucky enough the farmers market but either way we miss this beautiful part of our food, seeing it growing happily in the ground.
Located in the heart of Southbank Parklands, near River Quay and it is free to visit! Come and wander through this productive and ornamentally designed garden. Enjoy seeing the exotic plants, fragrant herbs, and seasonal organic fruits and vegetables suitable to the Queensland climate.
If you would like to try some of the produce the volunteers and horticulturists collect ready to eat produce and place it in the harvest cart which is open from 7am-2pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and operates on a first in best-dressed basis.
The Oxygen Apartments are located right next door to the city in Springhill, a historical part of Brisbane.
