The perfect way to see the city is either on foot or by bike. The Bicentennial Bikeway which runs along the Brisbane River and connects the CBD to Toowong and New Farm is Brisbane city's busiest shared pathway and an important cycle and pedestrian link in the active transport network.
The 870m long Riverwalk commences at the historic Howard Smith Wharves in Brisbane CBD and ends at New Farm. The path is happily segregated into dedicated roadways for cyclists and pedestrians so neither can intrude on other’s turf, with cyclists enjoying a 3.5m path and a comfortable 2.5m one for pedestrians.
It is a great way of seeing the sights of Brisbane under your own power – whether it be pedal-power or leg-power.
